Romantic packages
Ovolo is launching two new initiatives at its hotel starting from 11th February to 14th February. Guests can choose from:
Ovolo Suite Dessert—the most expensive dessert in Hong Kong which comes with a room key, available at Te Queiro Mucho and Veda (from HK$1,000). Guests can tuck into their Suite Dessert from Veda (Ashwagandha Tiramisu with Ashwagandha cream, Amaretto sponge, and coffee foam) and Te Quiero Mucho (Flan de los Enamorados made with goat cheese custard topped with amaranth tuile).
Forever Valentine staycation—whisk your Valentine away with a romantic staycation at Ovolo Central, which comes with a complimentary “date night box” which includes highlights like chocolates from La Maison du Chocolat and a few cheeky couples’ gifts.

Romantic menus
Te Queiro Mucho’s Valentine’s Day Menu—Hong Kong’s favourite Mexican bar and restaurant TQM will be serving its V-day menu featuring a starter, main and dessert each. Highlights include the Carpaccio de Pulpo (thin sliced octopus), the seafood cocktail and red velvet churros are not to be missed. Meanwhile, the aforementioned “Ovolo Suite Dessert” will be on offer at both Veda and TQM for a little indulgence.

Our experience
We stayed in the Platinum Room at Ovolo Central to experience the Forever Valentine staycation. After a friendly and easy check-in, we arrived at the chic decorated room with balloons on the bed and an enticing parcel ready to unbox.

Inside the Forever Valentine box, were two bottles of mini wines from Pernod Ricard, chocolates from La Maison du Chocolat, CBD gummies from Found, a chic Ovolo travel wallet and a couple of romantic accessories to spice up an evening.

Head to TQM for a well-curated, very reasonably-priced (at HK$350) set which comes in beautiful presentations and amicable service. We tried everything on the Valentine’s menu and would recommend sharing the starters and mains with your beau or belle to try the best of everything. The appetisers, however, compared to the main dishes, were actually the stars of the show. The free-flow package is highly recommended as it comes with stellar cocktails including a variety of new Valentine-themed options.

Wake up to breakfast in bed with a healthy, hearty spread from Veda (or head into the restaurant downstairs). We ordered classic avocado on toast with scrambled eggs and kale—the perfect start to a lazy morning. Continue the day of romance by exploring the area—or, like us, press the snooze button and immerse yourself in the cosy sheets. Guests can also opt for in-room dining at any time, including lunch and dinner.
Ovolo also recently announced its partnerships with three Hong Kong NGOs to offer HK$1 per night rooms to HK residents in who want to return but cannot due to financial difficulties in paying for quarantine. Candidates who have been confirmed to stay with Ovolo will only pay HK$1 per night for their 21-day (or 14-day) quarantine, while receiving the full Quarantine Concierge package with all its perks.
