Long before Netflix came calling, Alizey and Lailli Mirza were already building something. The London-born, Dubai-based twins brought sharp wit, fierce loyalty, and a combined career spanning fashion, PR, beauty, and content creation to Desi Bling — and promptly became two of its most talked-about personalities. Here's everything you need to know.

Who Are They?

Alizey and Lailli Mirza were born on February 1, 1996, in London, England — making them 30 years old. They are twins, though not identical.

They moved to Dubai in 2007 when their mother, Mona Mirza, established Biolite — her luxury aesthetic clinic — in the city.

They speak proudly of their Parsi heritage — Iranian, Persian, Arab, and Indian roots — and have consistently presented themselves as a unit while also maintaining distinct professional identities.

What Do They Do?

Lailli Mirza is the CEO of Petite The Brand, a fashion label she has led since January 2018. She also serves as Business Development Manager at Biolite Aesthetic Clinic, her mother's company — a role she has held since 2016. She studied International Business at Regent's University London from 2016 to 2018, after attending Repton School from 2006 to 2010.

Alizey Mirza took a slightly different route — journalism and PR. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Journalism at City St' George's, then worked as a Junior Social Media & Influencer Executive at Kendrick PR in London from May 2019 to May 2020. The pandemic brought her back to Dubai, where she joined Biolite and expanded into medical aesthetics PR. She has also worked in modelling, having been represented by Bareface Model Agency between 2010 and 2015.

She has held a Fashion Internship at Harper's Bazaar and worked as a Social Media Intern at E! Networks.

What Happened on Desi Bling?

The Mirza twins arrived on the show as a fully-formed social unit, and they made their mark quickly. They welcomed Tejasswi Prakash — the Bollywood actress and Bigg Boss 15 winner — warmly into their friend group and became strong advocates for Iryna Kinakh as she navigated the on-screen turbulence of her marriage to Dyuti Parruck.

Their biggest storyline involved a falling-out with Pamala Serena — Miss Universe Dubai 2021 and UN Ambassador for Peace. Pamala alleged that Lailli had once asked for her ex-boyfriend's number while Pamala was still in that relationship.

The twins were described as "Dubai's answer to the Olsen twins" — a comparison that is both flattering and, given the fashion credentials, not entirely inaccurate.

What's Their Relationship Like?

They are close in the way siblings who have shared every chapter of their lives tend to be — which is to say, genuinely, without performance. Their mother Mona features prominently in their lives and content; their pride in her is evident both on the show and off it. Mona herself is a Desi Bling cast member, appearing as a Biohacker, Medical Aesthetician, and Certified Hypnotherapist who founded Biolite Clinic.

What Are They Up To Now?

Post-show, both sisters continue their respective ventures. Lailli remains at the helm of Petite The Brand and active in Biolite's business development. Alizey continues her work in PR and content creation. Their combined Instagram presence spans hundreds of thousands of followers, with an audience based largely in the UK, US, and Australia — reflecting the international nature of their platform.

Desi Bling premiered on Netflix on May 20, 2026.
