Sofitel Sentosa is perched on a cliff within Sentosa Island where the soft breezes of the South China Sea caress the skin, and warm sunlight shines through the azureous sky to the glistening Tanjong Beach below. The area is a paradise waiting to be explored.

The hotel celebrates a marriage of Singapore’s local culture with French art de vivre. In the Paris' Jardin du Luxembourg-inspired housing by French designers Beatrice Martinet and Pierre Maciag, the space is reminiscent of the 1930s colonial era while maintaining a timeless air of contemporary elegance. With an open view of terracotta red buildings, the clear blue sky and green wildlife, the entrance itself is enough to take your breath away. Entering the hotel grounds allows you to escape a busy or stressful everyday life.

Sofitel Sentosa houses 215 rooms and suites, as well as four luxurious villas. Each room is designed in clean ivory white palette with comforting wood tones, accented by deep purples and citrusy light orange.

We stayed in the spacious Junior Suite, which features a divider between the bedroom and living room to give privacy between each space. From the king-sized bed and generously sized bathroom to the working desk, this suite has everything you need for a comfortable stay at Sofitel.

Dining & Drinking:

Sofitel Sentosa's luxurious experience is not complete without an exquisite dining experience, and the hotel offers three gourmet dining establishments alongside seasonal packages:

  • Le Bar - an outdoor lounge with high tea & bespoke cocktails

  • The Cliff - innovative Italian cuisine with daily handmade pasta and curated wine pairing

  • Kwee Zeen - Pan-Asian and local-inspired cuisine in a casual chic dining scene

With over 1,300 square metres of conference facilities, venues and a breathtaking outdoor gardens, it is no wonder Sofitel Sentosa is the ultimate destination for a retreat. The 33-metre swimming pool and more than 27 acres of tropical woodlands all accessible to guests definitely top the experience. Whether you are in for business or leisure, the hotel accommodates all.

The outdoor swimming pool is a popular choice among families and is also a haven for happy hours for the adults.

Awarded the Best Luxury Resort Spa 2015 by World Luxury Spa Awards, Best Lifestyle Overhaul and Best Weekend Treat by Harper’s Bazaar in 2016, and Best Couple Treatments- Energizing and Best Pre-Natal Massage by Singapore Women’s Weekly Spa Awards 2016, Sofitel Sentosa's Spa is definitely the highlight of the property.

It spans over 6,000 square metres with 14 indoor treatment rooms, six outdoor treatment pavillions and a dedicated females-only area. The wide collection of French cosmetological treatments is merged with local influences and ingredients.

The Verdict:

Sofitel's warm hospitality, world-class service, and facilities welcome you with an escape to nature, where the experience will long linger even after it ends. Sofitel brings the French timeless luxury to life at its over 4,900 hotels and residences in over 110 countries, and Singapore's Sentosa outpost is no exception.
