Manchester
Manchester is emerging rapidly and gaining recognition as an up-and-coming food destination, and a culinary hotspot to watch. Famous for its architecture, musical notability and of course its iconic football clubs, Manchester is becoming a favourite for tourists seeking a new city break. This steady incline in tourism presents golden opportunities for businesses to rise in the city as the next "it" restaurants.
In this vibrant city that is no stranger to frill and fancy, Manchester’s food and beverage scene embraces maximalism with open arms. From lavish interiors to unforgettable entertainment, restaurants are pulling out all the stops to make their mark in this dynamic urban landscape. The compiled list below is just a few of these best and brightest restaurants that Manchester has to offer.
Sexy Fish Manchester
From Mayfair to Miami, the Sexy Fish restaurant collection delivers jaw-dropping opulence across the globe. Opening the Manchester location back in October of last year, Sexy Fish has seen an impressive interest in its newest branch. The vast and impressive dining room is often full on a Friday night, with an overflow of guests socialising around the bar. For lovers of celebrity-spotting, this is a popular dining space for influencers and celebrities, and anyone who enjoys luxury and indulgence.
Flirting with the concept of Asian fusion, complimented by an interior of oceanic-themed marble floors, the sky-scraping aquatic sculptures and staff in rainbow-fish colourful uniforms are only fraction of the maximalist design. Whilst the visuals are enough to have your jaw on the floor, the impressive cocktail and food menus deliver a vast range of Asian fusion options, with sharing dishes and fresh sushi.
Notably, the Spicy Yellowtail Signature Maki is a true standout, with a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture that is perfectly paired with a fiery spicy paste which lingers on the palate and creates a harmonious balance of smoothness and spice. The Tuna Tataki with Spicy Ponzu is another star dish, offering a multi-layered flavour profile. The seared edges of the tuna have a delicate smokiness, enhancing the natural sweetness, with a delicious ponzu sauce that delivers a vibrant, citrus tang. Visually, it’s a feast for the eyes, with artistic plating that tempts you to admire it just a little longer before taking the first bite. Whilst Sexy Fish delivers on its signature seafood, it also impresses with its cooked meat dishes. Of note, we recommend the Spicy Lamb Chops served with Kyoto Cucumber, deliciously fatty and umami flavours, balanced perfectly with a refreshing cucumber contrast that packs a chilli punch.
Indulgent flavours and ingredients come together to deliver a deliciously varied smorgasbord dining experience that is best for sharing with your favourite dining partner. The only challenge? Deciding what to try from the extensive menu, where every dish promises to be as enticing as the next.
Altogether, if you are looking for an exciting, sharing-concept Asian tapas menu with luxurious interiors and buzzing vibes, be sure to try and snag a table at Sexy Fish Manchester.
