What to Know About Banyan Workspace, the Quarry Bay Coworking Space Built for Founders
HONG KONG
Working for yourself can be lonely once the early startup rush fades. A desk and fast wifi are easy to find; a community is harder. Banyan Workspace, a harbour-facing coworking space in Quarry Bay, is pitching itself as the answer for founders who want both. Here is what to know.
The space was founded by Rasheed Shroff, a former corporate executive who left a two decade career to build his own business. The company says the idea came from frustration: while looking for an office himself, he found options that were either too corporate and sterile or too loud and chaotic, with nothing in between for professionals who wanted the flexibility of a shared space with the feel of a private club. So he built his own.

What You Can Book
Serviced offices: Private spaces with flexible, tailored packages for teams of 2 to 20 people.
Coworking desks: Shared desks for entrepreneurs and remote workers, with networking opportunities. A hot desk can be used for a day.
Meeting rooms: Fully equipped private rooms for client pitches or sensitive calls.
Event space: A venue for workshops through to company celebrations.
Podcast studio: A professional-grade studio for recording and filming.
The Library: A wood-toned space that Banyan says doubles as a backdrop for photoshoots, an event venue or a place to unwind.

The Community Programme
Entrepreneur Stories are intimate sessions where guest founders share their journeys, which the company describes as honest conversations rather than polished sales pitches. Real Connection covers community networking drinks and curated introductions, with the team helping members get to know one another. The company also says it offers free professional consultations to members.
