We all know Causeway Bay as the bustling epicentre of Hong Kong. With its luxury shopping malls like Times Square and Hysan Place and its multitude of upscale restaurants, the district is also home to famous historical landmarks such as Victoria Park, Tin Hau Temple Garden and Hong Kong Central Library. Along Leighton Road in western CWB, Lanson Place is nestled in one of very few French Belle Époque facades inherited from the 19th century, with a neoclassical grey stone exterior. Here's what to expect at this continental oasis.
Stretching over 28 floors, Lanson Place features five room types from the basic Superior Room to the Grand Luxe Room to the Prestige Suites and even the one or two-bedroom Penthouse – perfect for long stays. We stayed in the Grand Luxe Room and was welcomed with fruits and refreshments, along with a fully-equipped kitchenette, a lush living area with TV and a floor-to-ceiling city view extending to the king-sized bed.
Guests can enjoy breakfast buffet on the first floor's 133 Lounge. Selected morning menus like the avocado toast are also available for order. While the hotel doesn't have a formal restaurant, light refreshments are available upon request. For an additional HK$118, guests can opt for a free-flow happy hour of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks served with snacks and dessert.
Lanson Place features a business centre that works as a co-working area with scanners, printers and more ready-to-use equipment – catering for business travellers. There's also a 24/7 gym.
Lanson Place is a lush cocoon that brings a restful recharge in the bustling neighbourhood, and a home away from home for business travellers in need of a convenient yet comfortable respite.
