Who Is Christy Lee?
Lee, nine years Post Malone's junior, grew up in Newport Beach, California, and graduated from Corona Del Mar High School before moving to New York City to study strategic design and management at the Parsons School of Design – The New School, according to her LinkedIn. Before settling into styling, she worked in retail and the restaurant industry, and was a social media manager for the New York-based company Minaro.
Lee has since built a career as a fashion stylist and creative director. According to Yahoo Entertainment, she began under celebrity stylist Kristina Askerova, working on looks for stars including Bella Thorne and Brooks Nader, as well as campaigns for brands like Bloomingdale's and Retrofête. On her own professional site, Lee describes her focus as "personal styling, editorial direction, and creative projects that connect fashion with identity."
How Did Their Relationship Start?
Malone and Lee were first spotted together in January 2025, leaving the Mascagni Hotel in Rome after a dinner date. In March, a fan captured the two together at a bar, sharing the clip on TikTok with the caption, "Post Malone randomly showing up in your small hometown bar & saying hi to you." By April, the pair were photographed shopping and sharing a kiss in Paris, wearing coordinating light brown suede jackets, following a dinner date at high-end steakhouse Beefbar.
The relationship wasn't entirely smooth from the start. According to TMZ, Malone and Lee briefly split roughly a month after going public, having been together since the start of 2025. It's unclear exactly when they reconciled, but by 2026 the two were firmly back together and, according to multiple reports, spotted together again in Paris.
The Proposal
Malone proposed on August 17, 2026, at his newly purchased ranch in Utah, in what Lee described to Vogue as an "incredibly intimate and personal" evening. "There was something so special about being at our ranch, surrounded by the people we love most and all of our new little animals," she told Vogue, via E! News. Malone reportedly started the evening by surprising her with a baby Highland cow, bunnies, and chickens, before revealing a dinner set-up where her best friends and parents were secretly waiting.
Malone had been quietly gathering intel on Lee's ring preferences for months beforehand. "“A couple months before the proposal, Austin started casually slipping these very ‘hypothetical’ questions about rings into conversation, trying to figure out what I liked without giving himself away,” Lee explained. “One day, completely out of the blue, he asked me, ‘Pear, heart, or cushion?’ I told him I’d always thought there was something so chic about an oval.”
The result: a custom 20-plus carat natural oval diamond ring on a gold band. "When I saw it, I was honestly speechless," Lee said. "He had somehow taken all of those little conversations and created exactly what I would have chosen for myself."
The engagement was first made public not by the couple themselves, but by Lee's friend Marina Hollyer, who posted photos to her Instagram Story on August 19 showing the newly engaged pair, with Lee wearing a veil and "bride-to-be" sash. "My best friend in the world just got engaged ❤️. Love you more than words, Toph ❤️❤️❤️!!!" Hollyer wrote.
Malone has long been guarded about his personal life, a pattern that's continued into this engagement. "I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone's life, and it's why I don't want to post any pictures of my baby, because I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready," he shared in a September 2023 interview with CR Fashion Book.
Malone has also previously mused about his dream wedding, telling Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy in 2023 that he envisioned "an ice luge for brews that's just steady going... all my buddies are super down for the cause so they just go and take a suckle of the teat of the nectar and keep that party going." On the aesthetic, he added: "I'd imagine everything rustic, modern, lots of camouflage. F--k rustic, modern — I think we just do everything camouflage."
Has Post Malone Been Engaged Before?
Lee is not Malone's first fiancée. He was previously engaged to Hee Sung "Jamie" Park, with whom he shares a daughter born in May 2022; the two split in late 2024.
