Halloween at The Hive: Four Spooky Nights Across Hong Kong, Back to Back

Halloween week at The Hive Hong Kong is less about one big party and more about a run of them. From Wednesday, October 21 to Sunday, October 25, the co-working and community space is hosting four themed evenings across its Wan Chai, Sai Kung and Lai Chi Kok spaces, covering wine and painting, a spooky social, a family-friendly haunted hangout and a group sing-along to a pop classic. Here's your guide to each night.
Dracula's Paint & Delight — Wednesday, October 21
The run opens at the Hive Wan Chai with the third annual edition of Dracula's Paint & Delight, an evening of wine and painting with a vampire twist. Guests are invited to channel their inner vampire while they paint, with supplies and one complimentary drink included in the ticket. It's a low-pressure way to get into the Halloween spirit midweek, and no artistic experience is needed to enjoy it.

A Nightmare on New Street: Eerie Evening Social — Friday, October 23
Friday night brings A Nightmare on New Street, billed as an eerie evening social and a good option for anyone who would rather mingle in costume than pick up a paintbrush.

Potions, Pictures & Popcorn — Saturday, October 24
For families, the weekend starts at the Hive Sai Kung with Potions, Pictures & Popcorn, described as a "chill haunted hangout". Adults can settle in with free Halloween-themed drinks and light snacks, while younger guests get their own programme: a spooky cinema, DIY slime making, a Halloween photobooth and sweet treats. Costumes are encouraged, so expect plenty of tiny witches and vampires in the photobooth queue.

The Hive x Song Kong: THRILLER — Sunday, October 25
The run closes with a singalong. In partnership with Song Kong and Harmonics Choir, the Hive Lai Chi Kok hosts THRILLER, a one-night group singing session open to all skill levels. Instructors teach a well-known hit in a relaxed, low-stress setting, with the focus firmly on fun music-making rather than perfect pitch. It's a fitting finale for the week, and a good pick for anyone who has been humming Michael Jackson since the first of October.
