HONG KONG

There are few weekends in Hong Kong that carry quite the same kinetic energy as the Hong Kong Sevens — that annual collision of sport, spectacle and citywide revelry. This April, just moments from the action at Kai Tak, Dorsett Kai Tak once again steps into the spotlight with the return of its Wine & Dine Village, running from April 17-19, 2026.

Set on the hotel’s ground floor, the alfresco concept feels like a well-travelled marketplace — open, energetic and deliberately informal. With free entry and a pet-friendly ethos, it draws rugby fans, families and the casually curious alike, offering a place to refuel, reset and revel between matches. The atmosphere is easygoing but purposeful, designed for grazing, lingering and, occasionally, losing track of time altogether.

The Food

Leading the charge is Le Salon de Thé de Joël Robuchon, a name that carries the enduring legacy of Joël Robuchon, whose influence continues to shape modern gastronomy.

Close by, Mother of Pizzas brings a contemporary edge, widely recognised for elevating pizza beyond its comfort-food reputation. Meanwhile, Café Deco Group contributes its signature versatility, drawing from a portfolio that spans global cuisines and polished dining concepts.

The line-up continues to expand outward in flavour and personality. Prosit Bar & Restaurant offers a convivial, European-style bar experience, while Morley Gastro Pub leans into hearty, pub-inspired fare with a polished touch. Spanish influences arrive via Eat Good Spain, delivering bold, sun-soaked flavours that feel tailor-made for outdoor dining, while Diverxu adds a more eclectic, modern edge to the mix.

Rounding out the offering is Moon Xiang Nong (滿香濃台灣涼麵滷味), whose Taiwanese street food classics inject a welcome note of familiarity and comfort.

All-Day Entertainment

As the afternoon unfolds into evening, the Village takes on a different rhythm. With Red Bull curating the music programme, the space gradually shifts from a relaxed grazing spot to something more kinetic.

DJ sets from Karlie, BBF and HOVA carry the energy through the day and into the night, echoing the momentum of the Sevens itself.

Beyond the food and music, Wine & Dine Village leans into experience. A K-pop dance activation, held in collaboration with AI Studio, injects a flash of pop culture into the programme from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, while face painting and photo booths lend a lightly festive, almost nostalgic touch.

Notably, the Village extends its hospitality to four-legged guests as well. A dedicated “Pawsome Playground” offers space for pets to roam, complemented by thoughtful details like complimentary treats and toys from Buddy Bites.
