HONG KONG
There’s a particular kind of magic to vinyl — unhurried, a little imperfect, and far more personal than anything a playlist algorithm can conjure. This April, The Peninsula Hong Kong leans into that mood with the launch of its Analogue Record Series at Felix at The Peninsula Hong Kong — a weekly Thursday night affair that feels equal parts listening party and low-lit social ritual.

Taking place every Thursday from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, the Philippe Starck-designed space shifts gears: lights dim, the harbour glows, and the music — played exclusively on vinyl — takes centre stage.
The concept comes together in partnership with The Wake Concept Listening Room, a name well known among the city’s vinyl crowd. The idea is simple but effective: good records, played properly, in a setting that actually lets you hear them.
A rotating line-up of DJs keeps things fresh. Familiar names like Roy Malig, Johnny Hiller, and NeeNo join France-based Brahms, each bringing their own flavour — whether that’s soul, jazz, Balearic or funk.
On the food and drink front, the team keeps things playful. Chef de Cuisine Henry Wong introduces a line-up of snacks that riff on familiar favourites — shrimp toast, popcorn, mini sliders — done with just enough polish to fit the room. They arrive on vinyl-inspired menus.

Behind the bar, Head Mixologist Derek Tsui takes cues from the same analogue mindset. Cocktails include 45 & Fine, a peach-and-cranberry mix that’s light and easy, Needle Drop, a richer tequila-coffee number for later in the evening, and High Fidelity, a citrus-led option with a slightly bitter edge.
