My Two-Day Beauty Transformation at Visage Beauty Hong Kong

Visage Beauty By Okuyama was established with its first store in Hong Kong in 2019, followed by a second and third store in London and Vancouver. The beauty salon provides various treatments including the most popular Barbie perm, semi-permanent makeup for brows and eyeliner, laser colour removal, facials, and massages.

After a consultation of what I was looking for, Visage Beauty shared a thoughtfully planned, two-day experience with four treatments, and honestly, the sequence of treatments was key to the incredible results. Here’s a breakdown of my visit, day by day.

Day 1: The Facial and Barbie Perm

Visage Beauty suggested for me to schedule my most healing-intensive treatment – the semi-permanent eyeliner – on the second day. This would allowed my eyeliner treatment to heal without any complications. Therefore, I started day one with the LDM facial with the PLASONIC add-on. For two hours, my skin was pampered from start to finish, an especially indulgent experience after travelling so much this summer.

The therapist started by prepping my skin and gently wiping off any makeup or dirt from the day, before bring out the PLASONIC device, which emits ionized plasma particles to enhance absorption and rejuvenate my skin from the inside out. Its core innovation is the DDSD (Deep Directional Delivery System), which temporarily creates micro-channels in the skin to enable unprecedented absorption of active ingredients, which made perfect sense for my goal of getting my skin in peak condition. Then, the LDM machine delivered a deeply hydrating ultrasound massage, pushing the customized BABOR ampoules into my newly receptive skin. It created a warm, tingling sensation that was wonderfully relaxing and soothed me to sleep.

By the time I woke up, my skin was visibly plump and radiant. With my skin glowing, I moved on to the Barbie Perm (trial price $680). This popular lash lift treatment only takes 45-minutes and is perfect for those looking for a little extra ‘zhuzh’ to their daily look. The "no aftercare" rule is also a game-changer. I didn't have to worry about putting make up on the next day or avoiding my usual routine. I left the salon feeling completely relaxed and looking fresh-faced with beautifully curled lashes.

Day 2: Semi-Permanent Eyeliner

Walking in for my eyeliner appointment, I felt slightly nervous but was confident knowing I was in the best possible hands. The entire procedure took around an hour and a half.

Let's talk about the pain. Despite the application of numbing cream, there is a slightly uncomfortable scratching sensation that becomes noticeable after a few rounds as the numbing cream slowly wears off. However, my technician was phenomenal. She was happy to let me take a break whenever I needed, and her gentle demeanour (combined with the multiple applications of numbing cream) made it completely manageable. By the end, I barely had any swelling and the resulting eyeliner was sharp, symmetrical, and exactly what I’d hoped for.

I was given an aftercare kit with clear instructions on how best to maintain the eyeliner. Given it was a tattoo, I was glad I’d showered earlier that day as you shouldn’t get any water on the eye area for a minimum of three days. However, three days on, my eyeliner had started to peel and healed beautifully. One month later, the colour had set in and the compliments poured in.

The Results

The photo results speak for themselves. I left Visage Beauty with glowing skin, effortlessly fluttery lashes and perfect eyeliner. For days and weeks afterwards, I received several compliments on my lashes and eyeliner from friends, not knowing I’d had any treatment done, or applied any make up other than a few dabs of concealer.
