Hong Kong Jockey Club  

 

Established in 1884, the Hong Kong Jockey Club stands as an emblem of luxury within the realm of horse racing. Their Racing Membership offers a world of privileges, including access to exclusive enclosures, dining facilities, and ownership opportunities in racehorses. Priding itself as one of the world’s top ten donors, the HKJC is also renowned for its generous Charities Trust which donated a record number of HK$7.3 billion to 247 projects in 2022-2023 (data from official website). Housing 9,700 current members, entrance applications depend on being seconded by another resident member, supported by three other club members, and is subject to the revision of the Stewards approval of the application. 


Estimated price: The entrance fee for admission to Racing Membership is currently at HK$180,000. Racing Members are also required to pay a monthly subscription currently at HK$950* for continued enjoyment of membership privileges and facilities; The entrance fee for admission to Full Membership is currently at HK$850,000; Monthly subscription for continued enjoyment of membership privileges and facilities is currently at HK$2,800.

Offering exclusive waterfront views and luxurious amenities managed by the Shangri-La Group, The Aberdeen Marina Club is another private club where memberships are highly coveted. From fine dining to sports courts and beauty services, the club caters to diverse interests and needs. Membership, by invitation only, requires a letter of application. Expect prices exceeding HK $3,000,000 on the secondary market. With over 550,000 square feet, the club boasts seven restaurants, ten banqueting venues, and world-class amenities.  To top it off, boat owners can also use the space to park their yachts!

Hong Kong Country Club 


Nestled amidst the lush greenery surrounding Deep Water Bay, the Hong Kong Country Club has stood as a natural oasis since 1962. With a rich heritage, this club is proud of its family-centric values, facilitating an array of recreational activities and dining options across its impressive two-hectare site. Having been founded on the principle of inclusivity, the HKCC sustains a cosmopolitan character and promotes a relaxing, friendly, and informal ambiance. Memberships are highly competitive and require sponsorship by a resident member.


Estimated price: applications are subject to an entrance fee of HK$650,000 and a monthly subscription payment of HK$3,000.

Chariot Club


Built by the 21 members of the Macau Trotting Club in 1981, The Chariot Club has since evolved into a highly recognised non-profit organisation. Residing in Melbourne Plaza, this club offers a unique blend of Chinese and Western cuisine alongside exclusive entrance to a variety of rich events. Golf tournaments and charity dinners are just a few on the list of functions a membership can grant access to. With philanthropy at the center of its vision, The Chariot Club Charitable Foundation continually executes its mission to support underprivileged peoples.

The exclusivity of Club C+ is unlike any among a sea of private clubs in Hong Kong. The 'speakeasy-inspired venue' is nestled at the end of Duddell Street away from the bustle of the city. Foreign Correspondents’ Club came into being in 1943 Chongqing during World War II under the Japanese occupation and relocated to Hong Kong in 1949. The 1995-founded private members club is now one of the most well-known names among the elites, and the collection's largest residence of a 28-storey building lives up to its expectations and beyond. The story of private club The Helena May was an idea formulated by the wife of the 15th Governor of Hong Kong: Lady Helena May. From serving as a luxurious accommodation for single women as well as a haven for women to socialise, the club has since been open to all from all walks of life, providing long and short-term residences.
