LOS ANGELES

As flashy as the red-carpet city can be, these private social clubs hint at a much more clandestine side to LA’s ruling society. At The Jonathan, exclusivity is taken seriously, with applications often taking over a year to process and requiring a bulky initiation fee. Although the yearly subscription remains a mystery, their website that proudly boasts over 200 club-run events per year makes every penny lost sound worth it.
