As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding weekend unfolds at Madison Square Garden, all eyes are on the family surrounding the bride — and that starts with her only sibling, Austin Swift. Here's everything to know about the man who's spent three decades as Taylor's closest confidant off-stage.

He's Taylor's Younger Brother by Two Years

Austin Kingsley Swift was born March 11, 1992, in West Reading, Pennsylvania, making him almost exactly two years and three months younger than Taylor. The two grew up together on the family's Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania before the Swifts relocated to the Nashville area to support Taylor's music career — a sacrifice Taylor tearfully thanked her brother and parents for during her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction speech in June 2026.

He Built a Career in Film and Production

Austin studied film and acting at the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 2015, after interning at Lionsgate. He made his acting debut in the 2016 thriller "I.T." alongside Pierce Brosnan, and appeared the same year in Ben Affleck's "Live by Night." He went on to land his first lead role in 2018's "Cover Versions" and has since built a resume that spans acting, producing, and film festival credits.

He's Deeply Involved in Taylor's Career Behind the Scenes

Austin isn't just Taylor's brother — he's a working part of her creative operation. He served as an executive producer on Taylor's Disney+ documentary "Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions" and co-produced the music video for "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version)," which earned him and director Blake Lively an American Country Music Award nomination for video of the year.

He also played a pivotal, largely undersung role in Taylor's fight to reclaim ownership of her music. When Swift set out to buy back her master recordings from Shamrock Capital, she chose not to send lawyers first — she sent her mother and Austin, who she has said work together, to make the case in person.

He's a Longtime, Vocal Supporter of Taylor

Austin has publicly stood by his sister through some of her most difficult professional and personal moments, including her 2017 civil case against a radio DJ accused of assaulting her, and the public feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. He's called Taylor his "best friend" and "role model" in social media tributes over the years.

He's Been a Regular at Chiefs Games

Since Taylor and Travis went public with their relationship, Austin has frequently joined the family suite at Kansas City Chiefs games, appearing alongside his parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and Taylor's circle of friends.
